In Fiscal Year 2019 the South Dakota Arts Council awarded nearly $1.3 million in grant support to arts organizations, schools, artists and other nonprofit organizations to support arts projects and programs throughout the state, resulting in $27.64 million in local spending. 448 grants reached 106 communities and 91% of South Dakota counties.
